Support

Why your support matters

The Dorstone Settlement Timeline is a community heritage project with no permanent funding. Everything you see, from the research and the interpretation panels through the app, the walking tours, the touchscreen in the church and this website, has been produced through voluntary effort, community fundraising and grant applications. Your support funds the next piece of work.

Specifically: commissioning audio for the walking tours, photographing and cataloguing heritage features, transcribing the census and parish registers, producing physical interpretation panels. Every surface remains free to every visitor.

Donate

Every contribution makes a difference.

In person

A donation point is inside St Faith's Church, by the north wall. The card reader accepts any amount by card or contactless. Cash donations are welcome in the box. Every walking tour on the Bloomberg Connects app ends with an invitation to give if you enjoyed it.

Online

Donate securely online through Give a Little. Every penny goes directly to the work.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid lets the project claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no cost to you. The extra comes from your income tax or capital gains tax already paid to HMRC.

- Online: tick the Gift Aid box on the Give a Little donation page when you donate.
- In person: ask the volunteer steward for a Gift Aid declaration form. Once signed, the declaration covers every future donation you make to the project and back-claims four years.

You need to pay at least as much income tax or capital gains tax in the current year as the total the project claims. It is your responsibility to pay any difference.
