Why sign up

The Dorstone Settlement Timeline is a living project. New photographs, oral histories, research findings and community contributions come in all the time. The supporter tier is where those land: full Part-3 modules with footnotes and sources, audio from people who lived the story, long-form video, transcribed census returns and parish records stretching back to 1841 and a quarterly letter from the project telling you what's changed since your last visit.

Signing up is free. There is no payment involved and never will be. The email address is how we let you know when a module you cared about has been expanded, a census year you were waiting for has been transcribed, or an event you would want to come to has been scheduled. You can unsubscribe at any time and keep your access.

We promise four or five emails a year. No spam. No marketing. No third parties. The list belongs to the project and stays with the project.

After you sign up

A confirmation email lands in the inbox within a minute. Click the link in it to confirm the address. Then the Supporter Dashboard opens and the full tier is available.

The first email you receive from the project is a welcome letter that points you at one thing worth reading first.

Privacy

We store your name, email address and the optional postcode. The list is held in MailerLite (our launch mailing-list platform; VXGG §13 Q8 resolution). The integration is platform-agnostic and the list can be migrated to Buttondown later without disrupting the supporter relationship. We do not sell, share or exchange the list with any other organisation. UK GDPR lawful basis is consent. The data controller is the Dorstone Settlement Timeline, Dorstone Village Hall, Dorstone, Herefordshire HR3 6BA.
